W-What…?

[This is weird! There’s nothing weird about a girl looking through her pokemon the PC, but suddenly finding new pokemon from there is – NOT new to her, just something she never expects to happen. Especially not some, who look so familiar. They should be with him, right? He’s still here, right?

She’ll just leave that PC open as she rushes to call him.

No. This – this can’t be happening. Wait, maybe he is just in some kind of a trouble again. This does not have to mean what it usually means. Mitsuki stops and gives a look to her boyfriend.]

Can you… Check your boxes and call Ren? Maybe call Utau-chan too, I don’t have her number saved on my book.

[Masato, in the meantime, has already been checking his. Thoroughly distracted from his bewilderment from what was occurring outside, he's poking through his gear to see that the number has definitely risen, and it makes him frown. He checks the numbers, to get the same response.]

...This is concerning.

[It's then that Masato turns on his gear, an overly-serious expression on his face. Not that he doesn't normally look serious, but he actually seems somewhat troubled. Not at all bothered by the fact that strange pokemon have been raining from the sky or other strange nonsense, no. This is far more serious.]

Ah... It seems like two of our friends have gone missing. Ren Jinguji, and his fiance, Utau Hoshina. The two were in Goldenrod as of late, and...

[He sighs, eyes shutting for a moment.]

This may be futile, as... a few of their pokemon have landed in our boxes, but... I figured it was worth asking.

I don't if this helps you confirm anything... but I received three Pokémon with "Utau Hoshina" as their catcher. I didn't know her, so it's rather odd.

It helps a lot, thank you. And ah, actually it's not so odd here, to get pokemon from soneone, who you didn't even know... It happens sometimes. Umm, which ones did you get?

I got Tentacruel, Hydreigon and Charizard.

Mm. Mostly they seem to go to whoever knew them, but then sometimes it seems to be comoletely rand--

[You should ask your girlfriend, Ed. She's been there more than once, I think. Anyway, what's the sudden stop there? It's the list of those... Monsters. Ah, she shouldn't call them that but Utau-chan would be glad to hear them be called that, right?]

Ah... I... Don't know about Tentacruel, but the other two seemed to be some of her favorites, though she had a lot of trouble with their ... Difficult personalities.

[at least you didn't also get her Salamence.]

That on top of the fact that they're far too high leveled to listen to me. Oh boy.

...Well, you could keep them in the box until you have enough experience for them to listen to you, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea either.

Yeah, I'd like for them to get used to me. Luckily I do have someone with me who has strong Pokémon so she can help if something goes wrong.

Getting them used to you is good. [unless they will try to burn / eat you alive...] And that sounds like a great plan, I hope it goes well. Why wouldn't it if she's been here long enough to have strong pokemon too...

Umm, can I ask your name? If she ever comes back, she'll definitely want to know where to look for those three.

It will be fine. I'm sure she'll have Pokémon strong against these types as well.

[Masato's brows furrow at this.]

I've honestly never heard of that happening... I wonder if they were sent to you for some reason. You mentioned not knowing Utau... Did you know Jinguji, or meet him in passing?

The girl who responded said it's not that odd, but I've never heard of that happening before either.

[Then again, he hasn't been around that long, so.]

Jinguji? Hmm... I think I remember Winry mentioning him once or twice.

Hmm... Well, Mitsuki tends to pay closer attention to these details. It may just not be as rare as I thought.

[He shakes his head.]

Well... until she comes back, if she does... Would you mind caring for those pokemon?

Oh, I don't mind. I'll try my best to be a good trainer for them.

[Masato nods calmly.]

[Masato isn't expecting it, but he's quick to respond to the hug by wrapping his arms around her. Losing friends is upsetting, but the last thing he wants is to lose her. At least Ren and Utau were able to leave together, but he wonders: how will they manage it while they're home? Will they be separated?

His arms tighten, and he rests his head atop hers. The message is silent, but clear:

'I hope you don't leave.']

[Ren & Utau will never be separated, nope. Mitsuki refuses to think that they would be, especially with the leaving at the same time thing that apparently happened... They left to get married and will live happily ever after! Otherwise it's too cruel because as far as she knows, at least Utau doesn't have anyone back home and even if she does, she's starcrossed lovers with Ren now!

Mitsuki tightens her own arms too to get even closer.] Don't worry, I won't go anywhere. Or I guess we could think of something to do together later, but... Let's think about that a little later.

[Masato hopes as well; perhaps their worlds are smaller than they thought, and the two will still manage their dream wedding, and live their happily ever after. He hopes for them; and he's so worried for the two of them in that inn room, but he can only remain hopeful here too.

And to know she's not letting go? It's a comfort. Masato finally takes a deep breath, although his grip doesn't loosen on her. He can't let her go yet.]

Mm. Perhaps... it may do not to dwell. We can continue to listen and wait for any news on the gear... and keep our minds preoccupied in the meantime.

[He doubts either would be able to focus on too much if they gave themselves a waiting period. But an agenda would help.]

[She pets his hair. She's not going aaaaanywhere, though the disappearance of those two makes her think all the what ifs. What if they never come back, what if he'll disappear too, what if she disappears again, and so on, it's just another what if right after a what if...]

I like that plan.

[She stays quiet for a while, and then an idea just suddenly kind of hits her.] A date. Let's go on a date. [She needs to cheer you up, thinks the girl who should dry her eyes from crying again.]

[He huffs softly, an airy wisp of laughter as he feels her hand trying to comfort him back. The worry is there with both of them, that they never know when their own end could come, but he wants to hang on to her for as long as he can.

But her suggestion has his eyes widening a little.]

A date?

[He smiles.] Where should we go?

[ Where...? . . . ... . . . ... She flails a bit before she calms down again.]

Around this town, just to see what's there to go to!

[and then go somewhere in there, or something. ...Logical thinking of places isn't really the idea of these kind of a date, is it? Not for her anyways.]

[The flailing has him smiling a bit more, but he likes that plan. He brings a hand up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear, letting his fingers ghost against her cheek.]

Then we'll explore. We can probably catch dinner while we're out.

I received two Pokemon in my PC, a Bulbasaur and a Vaporeon. The Vaporeon is listed with the original trainer of 'Ikuto Tsukiyomi', though.

They're still from Utau-chan, she received the Vaporeon after -- the boy left. [IS SHE STILL NOT ALLOWED TO SAY THAT IKUTO IS UTAU'S BIG BROTHER? She doesn't know, so she'll roll with keeping that thing as her own knowledge.] You... Might be dealing with a really stubborn Bulbasaur there, mister. At least she'd be the type of girl to find the most stubborn one from a forest.

[unless it's a total opposite of a stubborn one or something from between, because utau and her umm... many levels of adorable personality. In other words, no Mitsuki doesn't really know about those two.]

Ah, I see. Well, my brother's pretty stubborn, so I have experience dealing with that sort of personality. [Al chuckles softly.] I promise I'll do my best to take care of them both.

[She giggles.] Ah, I see how that would help with experience on it. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll take great care of them both, you seem like a really nice person.

[it's like a compliment, except this girl finds something good in everyone, so even if all that friendliness was just an act, she'd say it anyway.

But this is chance to get new friends, isn't this?] I'm Mitsuki, what's your name?

[Al blushes a bit and scratches the back of his neck.] Ehe, thanks! I'll do my best.

I'm Alphonse! It's nice to meet you, Miss Mitsuki.

Ikuto... [Wow, how long has that been?] Did you know either of them? Perhaps there was a reason you were given some.

No, I've never met either of them--I only arrived here last month. I take it this is unusual?

Hmm... It's uncommon. But I'm beginning to hear it isn't completely unheard-of. [He just gives a small bow.] But until she returns to collect them, if she does, would you mind caring for the ones you received?

Of course! I'll take very good care of them, the best I can! [He would no matter what, of course, but given the circumstances a promise like that feels even more important.] And...I'm sorry about your friends.

It hasn't! I actually have family here from home, so we were able to meet up and I've been traveling with them.

Ah, well that's good to hear. It's always easier traveling with familiar faces.

Yeah, it is. I was traveling around back home on my own the past year or so, and it was...I guess I just do better with people around.

It truly is. Well, hopefully your adventures at home don't have you alone for too long.
