[Unhappy Masato is unhappy. Then again, so would you be if you have someone over here telling you to be evil. He's frowning with displeasure at the gear, the look in his eyes pretty much showing that he wants to say something but is refraining from it.]

...So I've... been told I'm here until further notice.

[His frown deepens.] I'm... quite suspicious that this may be the work of Principal Saotome, but even he does not seem to be capable of such a... ridiculous scheme.

Actually, I stand corrected. While he does seem quite capable of a kidnapping and organization plot, he doesn't strike me as one who is capable of creating these... creatures.

[And with that, he turns his gear to the little Karrablast sitting on the floor. It's currently holding a black cap, gnawing on the brim every once in a while. He turns the gear back to himself.]

It's... Am I truly responsible for this during my stay here? Hopefully it's brief. If anyone has any further information regarding this place, it would be most appreciated.

Hijirikawa?! You're here now too?

It's me, Shou! I'm with Natsuki right now! We're on our way to "Goldenrod" City to meet with Nanami and Jinguji! I just got here a while ago too, but they've all been here a little longer than me.

Yeah, we have to take care of these little guys, but they're not so bad! Mine are pretty cute and they have some neat powers. There are some really cool looking ones too, and they "evolve" apparently! And you can get more and form a powerful team of 'em!

I don't think this is the work of that guy either....

[ well, he still has a "bad feeling". ]

All of you are also here?! [He sounds rather surprised to hear it.]

Well... it seems like we'll all be meeting sooner than I would have anticipated.

A... powerful team of monsters... [He sighs.] I'd like to hope this isn't some sort of scheme. After all, I'm not sure what fighting monsters have to do with our final.

Well, we're still missing some of us, I think. -- Like Otoya and Ichinose...

I haven't seen or heard of any of the teachers being here, either. Or even the principal himself! So it might not be him behind this?

As for making a team! Well, this world is full of them, yeah? I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to find myself attacked by one of them! If you raise your own right, they can defend you and be good partners! Or so I hear. They seem to have some fighting spirit!

[ that may make it seem like he's a trainer, but he's actually a breeder. He just hasn't figured out how the eggs or breeding thing works yet. ]

I'm a breeder apparently, though! So I just have to focus on raising mine good in general.

Plenty of information. That is a Pokemon... haven't seen that one before. You raise it, take care of it, it's like a pet except it fights other pets.

Somehow this is perfectly legal.

Well, if you said it's Shinomiya, you, me, Jinguji, and Haruka-san, then it's... just lacking those two, along with the teachers... [There's a moment of thinking.]

It doesn't sound the least bit legal, sir. What exactly... is the point in fighting them?

[ what does Hijirikawa mean by that? Well, Shou might have played a game or two back home, but he was younger then so the memories might be fuzzy for him (and he probably remembers them as generic monster fighting games.) He was pretty focused on music and his condition the rest of the time up until getting into the school. ]

I don't really know, but I heard it has it's perks! It can make travelling easier if you get these things called "HM"'s from people! Or if the Pokemon already know those moves.

Or something similar... [It sounds somewhat familiar. But he's quite certain it was nothing he did as a child. Probably something Jinguji showed him... meaning he was never admitting it.] It's nothing, never mind.

HMs... Moves? Would you mind explaining those, please?

Okay then!

And they're attacks you can teach the Pokemon! From these machine things. Well, they're not all attacks, and they're not all taught by machines, some of them can just be used for useful things too! Like the ones I've heard about are "Cut" which can clear away things in your way, and "Surf" which helps you cross water... and "Fly" can take you anywhere you've been to before!

[ rambles a bit there, but then trails off. ]

I've heard of others too, but there's so many moves and things it's kind of hard to keep track of them all! I'll need to write them down or something...

Well, I'm still pretty new too, so I'm trying to figure out things as well. Natsuki told me some stuff though and I found out other things going through old "network" posts! That's what we're talking through, by the way.

You look just like Masa-kun ... and you come from Saotome Academy too?

So... on top of fighting, their abilities have practical uses as well? [But he has to think on this. Going off the explanation, does that mean his little bug can surf across water? ...not even likely.]

Hm? A network? So that's what this is... It's strange.

Yeah! Though the moves sometimes have to match their "type" or not all of 'em can use the same moves!

I heard a guide was posted to the network but I haven't checked it out yet!

[Another wave of newbies - the same old story of people coming in and wondering about the world. It's all been said and done. There's nothing that catches his eye.]

He's not really too sure how to react to Hijirikawa being here. To be honest he was quite afraid this would happen with all the others popping in at given times.]

[On the other hand it's good that there's more guys here to protect the princess and, belive it or not, Ren did miss his almost-best-friend-but-not-really-even-close, but...]

[Hijirikawa wasn't easy to lie to. His secrets were in danger. Really, while it was nice seeing more familiar faces this particular one would just bring in some extra stress.]

[Though why does that cap the Pokémon was chewing look rather... familiar?

[Because if it was then there were different kinds of problems. Oooh boy.]

[There's the initial silence as Masato watches him change the functions, and he can't help but toy with it himself. He hadn't even realized it switched over to audio... Video is back! But he looks a little surprised to see Shou's condition.]

I see... Kurusu, how have you been?

[He relaxes a little. Sheesh!]

I wouldn't quite describe them as cute, but I am indeed here. Have you been here long?

[Oh, hello sorta-ex-best-friend-now-rival-and-bandmate-in-question, he knew you were here but it's far more surprising to actually see you on this. But that question... Oh Ren, you are far too observant.]

[Part of him thinks he should be honest, but that mysterious person he talked to said being in this team was supposed to be a secret. He would much rather figure out the details on this before ruining his cover. So he decides to pry a little.]
