[Unhappy Masato is unhappy. Then again, so would you be if you have someone over here telling you to be evil. He's frowning with displeasure at the gear, the look in his eyes pretty much showing that he wants to say something but is refraining from it.]

...So I've... been told I'm here until further notice.

[His frown deepens.] I'm... quite suspicious that this may be the work of Principal Saotome, but even he does not seem to be capable of such a... ridiculous scheme.

Actually, I stand corrected. While he does seem quite capable of a kidnapping and organization plot, he doesn't strike me as one who is capable of creating these... creatures.

[And with that, he turns his gear to the little Karrablast sitting on the floor. It's currently holding a black cap, gnawing on the brim every once in a while. He turns the gear back to himself.]

It's... Am I truly responsible for this during my stay here? Hopefully it's brief. If anyone has any further information regarding this place, it would be most appreciated.

And they're attacks you can teach the Pokemon! From these machine things. Well, they're not all attacks, and they're not all taught by machines, some of them can just be used for useful things too! Like the ones I've heard about are "Cut" which can clear away things in your way, and "Surf" which helps you cross water... and "Fly" can take you anywhere you've been to before!

[ rambles a bit there, but then trails off. ]

I've heard of others too, but there's so many moves and things it's kind of hard to keep track of them all! I'll need to write them down or something...

Well, I'm still pretty new too, so I'm trying to figure out things as well. Natsuki told me some stuff though and I found out other things going through old "network" posts! That's what we're talking through, by the way.

So... on top of fighting, their abilities have practical uses as well? [But he has to think on this. Going off the explanation, does that mean his little bug can surf across water? ...not even likely.]

Yeah! Though the moves sometimes have to match their "type" or not all of 'em can use the same moves!

I heard a guide was posted to the network but I haven't checked it out yet!

[There's the initial silence as Masato watches him change the functions, and he can't help but toy with it himself. He hadn't even realized it switched over to audio... Video is back! But he looks a little surprised to see Shou's condition.]

-- I'm fine!! Just -- we're almost there, I think, but we left right after this big freak blizzard cleared, so...

[ sheepish laugh ]

I didn't expect there to still be so much snow around with the kind of good weather now, but I guess I should have.

[ basically, they probably could have been better off if they waited out the low temperatures and for the snow to clear. And, well, Shou's definitely used to being more active now, but he's maybe not so used to travelling such long distances by foot -- especially with lots of slopes and the like. ]

I'll be better once I rest up, though! I'm not like I was before. I can handle it now!

After a blizzard... So you're walking in the snow?!

[You crazies, why didn't you both stay inside or something? Ah, the naive thoughts of a newbie to this world.]

[That's all the concern Masato can give. But he finds himself staring at the view, rather surprised at how calm and pleasant everything looks.]

I guess it isn't snowing anymore at the moment. But... I can't judge a distance by the view. How long has your travel been so far?

Well, I know you mean well, kind of -- but I already got my surgery a while ago, so I have loads of energy now! I'll be fine!

Well, cars don't seem to be easily obtainable here, you see... and I don't know how you get licenses here... and I think it'd be dangerous to drive with only Natsuki in the car with me anyway!

[ Because, hello. Imagine if Natsuki's glasses fell off and Satsuki was alone with Shou in the car. It'd be hell. ]

I... I'm sorry. That doesn't add-up, Kurusu. You were perfectly alright earlier, when we were trying to see who Nanami would choose for the final.

[Confusion all around! This may take a while.]

Well, it was nothing we had to worry about, really!

I had to go to America for a few months after March for the surgery, yeah, but it ended up fine in the end!

-- Just, I had never really known how much Nanami, Kaoru, or Natsuki told you guys, so I assumed you knew...
