[The gear clatters on the moment Masato gasps aloud, hand shooting out and... accidentally launching launching the gear clear across his hotel room. There's heavy breathing, along with a panicked squeak from the Deerling that had been sitting over there. She taps her nose curiously at the gear once before just crossing the room, moving over to where Masato is slowly sitting up.

Even through the darkness, his moves are rather erratic and panicked, and he just reaches over, pulling the blanket a little closer. With a sigh, he bows his head and just takes a few deep breaths. The pokémon hurries to his side, and he actually takes a good minute or two of just watching her before he gingerly reaches out to rub her ears.]

Another one... I apologize for spooking you, Sonata.

[As he leans over, he notices the blink of the gear in the corner and just sighs. Moving back from the pokémon, he climbs out of bed and approaches it, purposefully aiming it at the floor as he turns the transmission off. You saw nothing.]

[She makes a soft unsure noise. There's some shuffling and Haruka's awake now.]

Are you sure? I don't mind.

...If you'd like, I could make some tea.

You don't have to trouble yourself. [There's some movement.]

[But he'll trouble himself anyway. He's already breaking out the coffeemaker to brew hot water.]

[And then there's a Haruka at your door in her cute little nightie and sight bedhead. She knocks.]</small< Hijirikawa-san?

[Masato is quick to hurry to the door and just... pauses. She looks so adorable and tired and this is just a bad night to have girls around. Taking a calming breath, he steps back and opens the door.]

...I really am sorry for waking you.

[She smiles as she walks in.]

It's really no problem. I'm more worried about you. Are you....sure you're ok? [INTENSE, WORRYING STARING GOING ON HERE]

[He really is sorry for worrying her. And as much as he wants to continue being the brave, stoic individual he normally is, he can't help but deflate a little at her question. Turning his head away, he focuses on shutting the door, then just nods and heads towards the tea.]

I'm relieved it was just a dream...

[She looks over at the tea and smiles a bit. She couldn't really say she was surprised that he went ahead and brewed them some tea. When he spoke again, she turned.

She smiles at him.]

Yeah. [nod] Whatever happened, you're ok.

[Action] /pats

[He nods, although that's not his main worry. In the dream... despite being hunted, he survived. It was everyone else, though... Quietly taking a breath, he set both tea cups onto a small tray and brought it over.]

Mm... And you are as well. Everyone is fine; everything is normal.

[But he sounds uncertain, almost as if trying to assure himself of it.]

[Oops, there goes the worried face again. She watched him as he set the tray down. Before he started serving them, though, she reached out and lightly touched his hand.]

I'm ok. Everyone's ok. [Her voice is firmer, more sure of what she's saying]

[At the soft touch, Masato pauses, but he looks away. He's disappointed that he's unable to have the same resolve she is about this, especially since this is the second time in such a short period that he's come to depend on her strength. He's just... never had nightmares like this before, and he isn't sure how to deal with them.]

Mm... I believe you. [It may just take a little while to shake off the feeling.]

[She moves back, letting him have his space although, she smiles at him.

She turns to look around and notices the Deerling]

What do you think, Sonata? You think he's doing better now?

[Action]

I'm fine, Nanami-san.

[The Deerling is a mischievous one. She can read Masato well, hence why he keeps her close, but it doesn't help that she also knows when he might need a bit more comfort. He's certain he'll be fine, but Sonata just moves over to Haruka and nudges her leg, trying to urge her closer to Masato. Nope, she's certain he needs more attention.]

[At the nudging, Haruka takes a step. She isn't quite sure what exactly Sonata wanted, but she could tell she was still worried about her partner.]

[Oh... oh no you don't, Sonata. As Haruka moves closer, Masato quickly catches on to what she's doing and frowns.]

Sonata.

[The deerling looks up at him, not the least bit fazed, and just nudges Haruka again. Masato takes a step back, towards the tea again. Nope.]

Shall we sit?

Oh, ok. [At the second nudge, Haruka takes another step before turning slightly to look at the deerling. She smiles at her and lightly pets her head. Haruka leans down a bit to whisper in her ear.]

Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on him.

[She gives the pokémon a smile before turning back to Hijirikawa.]

[Okay, the pokémon is happy about that. As she moves back to her small cushion, she just watches as Masato glances around his room. There's... not too many places to sit, but everywhere is open. Little table on the floor with two cushions, the desk chair, the bed... your pick.]
