[Unhappy Masato is unhappy. Then again, so would you be if you have someone over here telling you to be evil. He's frowning with displeasure at the gear, the look in his eyes pretty much showing that he wants to say something but is refraining from it.]

...So I've... been told I'm here until further notice.

[His frown deepens.] I'm... quite suspicious that this may be the work of Principal Saotome, but even he does not seem to be capable of such a... ridiculous scheme.

Actually, I stand corrected. While he does seem quite capable of a kidnapping and organization plot, he doesn't strike me as one who is capable of creating these... creatures.

[And with that, he turns his gear to the little Karrablast sitting on the floor. It's currently holding a black cap, gnawing on the brim every once in a while. He turns the gear back to himself.]

It's... Am I truly responsible for this during my stay here? Hopefully it's brief. If anyone has any further information regarding this place, it would be most appreciated.

[Apparently they don't live too far from each other. Not in the same hallway, but close enough for Ren to catch Hijirikawa before he gets too far from where he lives. Ren's definitely not dressed up as a Grunt right now because he doesn't like the clothes. It's just his normal clothes you'd expect him to have.

Without a word Ren walks up to Hijrikawa and graps his collar and pushes him to the nearest wall as a greeting. You can tell he's really annoyed right now because of the way he's acting.]

Why did you have to come here?

[He does know it's not Hijirikawa's fault, but hey... he needs someone to be annoyed at.]

[While he hadn't expected to see Jinguji so soon, he was sure he should have guessed it. Getting shoved against the wall, however, was new, and definitely aggravating. That hat was quick to slip from his head and fall to the ground in the sudden movement of it all. Glaring, he reached up a hand to grab his arm, just to hopefully keep Jinguji from making this more violent than it needed to be. Well... it was already more violent than even necessary, but this was common for them.]

You think I made this choice voluntarily? Let me go, Jinguji.

[Instead of letting go his grip tightened a little. Yes, it wasn't his choice. Neither of them made this choice. Knowing that didn't make him less annoyed, though, which is why he was still there.

It was hard enough to see Haruka in a place like this. How on earth would he deal with Hijrikawa being there also? Not that he normally would have cared, but he was under enough stress already.]

Of course not. None of us made this choice.

[Masato was fully aware of that extra grip, and besides the fact that he was annoyed at Jinguji for wrinkling his shirt, he was bothered by the fact that this was happening to begin with. He didn't want to fight, but his temper is definitely at that point.

Which explained why his other hand was forming quite a tight fist at that moment.]

Then what is your problem? The fact that I'm here? I didn't ask for this.

You're making things more complicated. They're already bad as they are and then you just need to appear out of nowhere and make things worse.

[He loosens the grip on the collar a bit, still not completely letting go.] Then again, isn't that what you always do. Just make my life more complicated.

[Making things more complicated... by just being there?! He looks pretty offended by that and it doesn't even take five seconds before his temper gets the best of him and that fist goes flying at Ren's gut.]

[Man that hurt. At least that made Ren let go... but it also made him even more annoyed that he already was.

So it doesn't take long until he aims a punch straight back at Hijirikawa's face.

Welcome to Johto, Hijirikawa.]

[Finally freed, Masato reaches a hand up to straighten his shirt, but he should have known not to let his guard down, as Jinguji's fist is quick to connect with his face. Unfortunately, the closeness of the hit has him bumping his head against the wall too. Eh, could be worse.

But now he's definitely angry, so he takes a quick start towards Jinguji and throws a punch at his face.]

What is your problem?!

[Fortunately Ren was prepared for another punch and put his arm up to shelter his face. Though the punch did hurt no matter where it hit, so the result was basically the same.]

You. You are my problem, Hijirikawa! [Did he made it clear enough?]

[Annoyed that the punch was blocked, he pulls his hand back, ready to throw another one, but the answer makes him pause. He's the problem? For merely showing up?]

Then why did you seek me out?!

[He thrusts both hands forward, trying to put a distance between himself and Jinguji.]

You're hopeless. Go away!

[Obviously, he needed to vent his frustration on someone. Don't worry, he'll take a few steps back to calm down for now. He's still annoyed, but he knows fighting won't do them much good so it's better to at least try to calm down.

He looks away to see if there's anyone near them. At least it doesn't seem like anyone saw them fighting like this.]

You might be right about that. Then again, you have no idea what's going on right now.

[He looks at Hijrikawa.]

Haruka started here.

[When Jinguji doesn't come back, he lowers his hands, but they're still in fists just in case he needs to be ready. Thankfully, it looks like the fight has taken a pause for now, so he just relaxes his guard and rubs his knuckles tenderly. Fighting is always rough on his hands...]

I don't need your help in finding out, you know.

[But he's quick to look back up at the mention of Haruka.]

She did? Is she still here? You haven't messed with her, have you?

[Ren probably would have told him everything, but the last question changed his mind. Really, he expected it, but it's still not appreciated.

He put his hands to his pockets, just to keep himself from making an extra punch.]

Ah, but didn't you just say you didn't need my help in finding out what's going on?

I wasn't going to turn it down if you were just offering it freely.

[And with that, he crosses his arms over his chest and takes a step closer. This attitude is just pissing him off further.]

Why are you doing this, Jinguji? If I'm such a problem to you, why did you come find me? Why did you offer help to begin with?

[Why was he like this? Most of it was most likely overreacting, but some of it was definitely some hidden stress that decided to erupt the minute Hijirikawa came to Johto. Sad, but true.]

Believe me, if you had started in New Bark Town like people normally do, I wouldn't be like this. Yes, that's not your fault, but who else can I yell at? [He'll admit that much of his childishness.]

Though it's not like I can just leave you be, can I? The lady would be sad if she knew I ignored you for my own pleasure.

[Hijirikawa is not your stress ball, okay? And he's also bothered by the fact that this was so troublesome that he was in this odd organization.]

I'll tell her we made a mutual agreement of staying out of each other's way.

[He sighs.] So she is still here, then, I'm guessing. Which means she also started out as part of this unfortunate Team.

[Ren sighs and looks away again. This really wasn't the safest place to talk about this... or show his true feelings about the team.

So he turns around and starts walking towards his room.]

Follow me.

[As in "follow me if you want to hear details". Not that he expected Hijirikawa to actually follow, but it was his loss if he didn't since Ren would actually explain things. Just not there.]

[Still no answers. He watches Jinguji walk away... but then decides there's no harm in following. Perhaps it's just better to talk elsewhere. Reaching down to retrieve the hat, he just carries it and follows. Finding no use in small talk, he's dead silent as they go.]

[Ren was slightly surprised to notice Hijirikawa actually following, but maybe it was better this way. They needed to talk at some point, maybe.

Without a word he walks into his room and waits for Hijirikawa to come in. It wasn't the safest place ever, but it was definitely better than chatting in the hallway.]

[It's only because he's curious. Once they make it to Jinguji's room, he steps inside and glances around. It... certainly looks lived in. Eerily so, since he's still having a hard time believing that Jinguji's been there for so long.

Crossing his arms, he turns back to his classmate. He doesn't speak, merely narrowing his eyes and waiting for Jinguji to break the silence. Whenever you're ready, Ren.]

[Ren could have sat down and relaxed all he wanted since it was his room, but instead he stood against a wall not relaxed at all.

Once both of them were in the room and the door was closed he looked at Hijirikawa. He lowered his voice so that it wouldn't be too loud, but so that Hijirikawa could still hear him without needing to get closer.]

I've been waiting for a good timing to get Haruka out of the team.

[Nothing but tension in this room, so thick one could cut it with a knife. He just watches Jinguji, though he's rather surprised by the statement. Haruka... So he's actually been worried for her.]

It's not easy to just quit, is it?

If it would be, she'd be out already.

[Actually, it was pretty easy. You just needed to take the microchip away from Haruka's Pokémon. It was what happened after that worried him and that's why he's been waiting for Kurusu and Shinomiya to arrive. So they could take her away and protect her.

Though now there was Hijirikawa. While Ren was confident that the guy would be able to survive in the team, somehow, he wasn't sure if he wanted Hijirikawa to be there. Especially since Ren had no intention of leaving just yet.]

Shinomiya and Kurusu don't know about us. It's better if they don't - who knows what they might do if they did.

[He frowns. Well, if Jinguji had been there for six months and had trouble escaping or helping Haruka out, Hijirikawa had a feeling it'd be difficult for him as well. But he frowns when he hears of the secrecy, looking towards the ground. So they're pretty much in a bind.]

Kurusu said they were both headed here. Are we going to be able to hide it if we meet up with them? Perhaps... Perhaps they can assist in getting Haruka out of here.

I can always say that I offered you a lift here from New Bark Town. I can use the move called "Fly", after all. That way it can seem like you arrived to this world normally and there won't be too much suspicion... well apart from not going to pick them up, which can be explained somehow.

[On the second part he nods.]

I have been thinking of using them to get her out. They can look after her and keep her safe... well, at least if they set their mind to "It's for Haruka".
